Challenge:

Provide fast track design services associated with modifications to the existing Meline Kasparian Professional Development Center to accommodate the new STEM Middle School.

Solution:

Portions of the building's first and second floors remained occupied by staff and students for the existing Meline Kasparian Professional Development Center while the rest was converted into the new STEM Middle School. The work included a code review of the existing building, review and recommendations regarding the proposed program for the school, and recommendations regarding appropriate modifications to the existing building. The project occurred at the very last minute and a rigorous schedule and considerable effort was employed by CBI to bring the space into compliance in time for the school season to begin.
