Challenge:

This is not exactly what we mean when we say "Green Architecture." Excessive moisture within the wall system promotes the growth of moss on the brick.

Solution:

Keep the water out of the system by having the mortar joints properly pointed. Remove the cast stone cap and install through wall flashing over the top of the wall.
