
Perform historical restoration work to the town-owned building that houses the Weston Historic Society and the Weston Women’s League. Historical restoration of deteriorated materials, included doors and windows, masonry, roofing, and paint. Required working closely with SPNEA with the list of problems evaluated and prioritized within the budget.
CBI prepared design of contract documents, bidding, and contract administration for construction of a new open egress stair at the rear of the building. The deteriorated stair at front of building was replaced and restored to its former historical design. The locations of a door and a window were exchanged, an infill roof, and new exit signs and emergency lighting were installed. The exterior of entire facility was repainted, which included the removal and disposal of lead paint. The windows were reglazed.
