Challenge:
Provide architectural and engineering design services associated with waterproofing at Ryder Hall.
Solution:
The makeup of the deteriorated mechanically attached EPDM roofing system was evaluated and CBI recommended replacement of the roofing system with a fully adhered TPO roofing membrane. The scope of work also included the installation of tapered insulation to correct ponding water issues. Deteriorated brick masonry penthouses were clad with new metal siding, and other masonry and concrete wall areas were repointed and repaired to provide a complete roof level upgrade for the building.
