Challenge:
Complete exterior evaluation to determine integrity of the exposed aggregate precast panels. Structural review of precast system. Review of sealants between panels and testing for corrosion of steel reinforcing and absorbency of panel surface. Plaza waterproofing and HCP access evaluation.
Solution:
Repair exposed aggregate concrete panels, complete sealant replacement, introduction of new soft joints, opaque coating, and clear sealing of the entire building exterior. Design of plaza waterproofing and handicapped access.
