O’Neil Biology Building, College of the Holy Cross Worcester, Massachusetts
Challenge:
Provide structural engineering services for renovations and addition to the existing biology building.
Solution:
The scope of construction included construction of a new two story steel framed horizontal addition. Renovations to existing concrete framed structure included reinforcement of existing roof framing for new rooftop HVAC equipment, replacement of existing elevator with new handicap accessible elevator and reinforcement of existing masonry roof parapets to satisfy provisions of the Massachusetts State Building Code.
