Challenge:

The Plasma Science & Fusion Center is one of the leading university research laboratories in the physics and engineering aspects of magnetic confinement fusion and conducts research on conventional and superconducting magnets for fusion devices and other large-scale power and energy systems.

Solution:

CBI was engaged to design an internal mezzanine to facilitate an active research project. The framing system consisted of aluminum beams and columns to minimize magnetism that might influence the performance of the ongoing experiments.
